Our Next Steps Centre on Oak Street started life as a calorie testing laboratory, but walk through the doors today and you'll find something completely different. We transformed this Norwich building into a community hub that picked up two architectural awards in 2020 - Best Contemporary Commercial Refurbishment in Anglia and Best Completed Charity Architecture Project for England. The heart of our centre is the café with its barista bar, where meetings often spill over into informal conversations. We serve freshly prepared lunches Tuesday through Thursday, made in our commercial-grade kitchen. Up on the mezzanine level, you'll find a more relaxed space with recreational facilities - perfect when your team needs a change of scenery during longer sessions. For meetings and workshops, we have several options. Our air-conditioned studio works brilliantly for presentations and training days. The PC suite handles digital workshops, while our counselling rooms provide private spaces for one-on-ones or small group discussions. We also have an art room and woodwork studio that groups sometimes book for creative team-building sessions. Everything here was designed by Cannon & Clarke Architects to feel warm and welcoming rather than corporate. Natural light fills most spaces, and the contemporary design creates an atmosphere that helps people think differently. We hire out rooms individually or you can book multiple spaces for larger events. Parking can be tight - we only have a few spaces on-site. But we always keep some spots available for anyone with mobility needs, just let us know when booking. Most people find street parking nearby or use the bus routes that stop close by. Whether you're planning a strategy meeting, staff training, or community workshop, we've got the right space and the facilities to support it.
