The Queen Mary Undercroft sits beneath the Old Royal Naval College, where naval officers once walked these same stone floors centuries ago. We're particularly proud of how the space transforms throughout the day - morning light streams through the archways during corporate conferences, while evening events take on a completely different character when our chandeliers illuminate the vaulted ceiling. Our venue holds 290 guests for standing receptions or 200 for seated dinners, with the built-in bar positioned perfectly for smooth service flow. The dance floor opens up naturally from the dining area, so your party can transition from dinner to dancing without anyone having to move tables or rearrange the space. We've hosted everything from tech company product launches to 50th wedding anniversaries here, and the acoustics under these historic arches create an incredible atmosphere when the room fills with conversation and music. One feature that always surprises guests is our Victorian Skittle Alley - a genuine period installation that adds unexpected entertainment to drinks receptions. The Colonnades provide additional space for guests to step outside with their drinks, overlooking the Thames and giving everyone a chance to take in the maritime heritage of Greenwich.
