The Queen's House stands as one of Greenwich's most distinguished venues, where centuries of royal history meet modern event hosting. We're incredibly proud to offer this former royal residence, originally built as a 'House of Delight' for James I's queen, as a backdrop for your special occasions. Our Great Hall remains the heart of the property, where original black-and-white marble flooring stretches beneath a magnificent gold-leafed ceiling. This space comfortably hosts up to 120 guests, whether you're planning an intimate wedding ceremony, a formal gala dinner, or a corporate conference. The Jacobean architecture creates an atmosphere that photographs beautifully and leaves a lasting impression on everyone who walks through our doors. For smaller gatherings, we recommend our Orangery and South Parlours. These rooms open onto views of Greenwich Park, bringing natural light and a sense of connection to the historic grounds. They work wonderfully for board meetings, private receptions, or breakout sessions during larger events. The flexible layouts mean we can arrange furniture to suit presentations, panel discussions, or more casual networking formats. After dinner, many of our wedding and party guests move downstairs to the Undercroft. This vaulted space beneath the Great Hall transforms into an atmospheric dance floor where celebrations continue late into the evening. The stone arches and intimate setting create the perfect contrast to the grandeur upstairs. We've equipped all our spaces with Wi-Fi and ensured full accessibility throughout the building. Our approved catering partners understand the unique requirements of serving in this historic setting, from elegant wedding breakfasts to working lunches and cocktail receptions. Getting here couldn't be easier – we're just a short walk from both Maze Hill and Greenwich stations, making us convenient for London-based and out-of-town guests alike.
