À propos de The Sekforde
The Sekforde has been pouring pints at 34 Sekforde Street since 1829, right where Woodbridge and Sekforde streets meet in Clerkenwell. After 176 years of continuous service, we closed briefly in 2015 for restoration work led by Chris Dyson and Associates. When we reopened just before Christmas 2017, we'd managed to keep all the character of a late Georgian pub while adding the modern touches our guests need today. Our building now connects the original historic structure to a contemporary addition through a glass atrium - you'll spot Anthony Eyton RA's commissioned quadriptych on the far wall when you visit. We've got multiple floors to work with: the downstairs restaurant serves our elevated comfort food menu, including that Sunday roast everyone keeps talking about, while our upstairs ballroom transforms from morning business meetings to evening celebrations. The ballroom comes equipped with high-speed internet and presentation screens, so whether you're running a training session or hosting your wedding reception, we've got the technical side covered. We regularly welcome groups for christenings, formal dinners, and corporate gatherings - the space adapts to whatever you need. What sets us apart is our approach to both sustainability and community. Our heating and cooling system makes us one of the most eco-friendly pubs in the UK, and every penny of profit goes straight to the Sekforde House Trust, an educational charity supporting students committed to positive change. We work closely with St John's restaurant down the road for our French wine selection, and our bar stocks craft beers, lagers, and specialty spirits for whatever your celebration calls for. From boardroom to ballroom, we've created spaces that work as hard as you do while maintaining the warmth of a proper London pub.

Food was very poor and way over priced for 300. Venue and Service was good but overall very unhappy with food quality and value.
