Every Thursday through Sunday, The White Lion SW16 transforms 232 Streatham High Road into South London's soul music headquarters. We're the proud home of The Streatham Soul Club, where our resident DJs spin everything from classic soul and rare groove to reggae deep cuts that keep the dance floor moving until late. Our venue spreads across three distinct spaces, each with its own character. The main bar buzzes with energy as people gather around for drinks and Lisa's Kitchen's famous jerk chicken - trust us, once you try her organic burgers or Caribbean plates, you'll understand why locals queue up. Step outside to our courtyard when you need a breather between sets, where conversations flow as freely as the drinks. For private parties, we open up The Stables - our function room that holds up to 50 guests comfortably. We've hosted everything from birthday celebrations with live bands to corporate gatherings that wanted something different from the usual conference setup. The space comes equipped with tables, chairs, and a projector, plus it's fully wheelchair accessible. Need the whole venue? We can accommodate up to 200 people across all our spaces. Our Thursday nights kick off the weekend early, with guest DJs regularly joining our residents to showcase their collections. By Saturday, the energy peaks as soul enthusiasts from across London fill our floors. We maintain a strict 21+ policy throughout our Thursday to Sunday schedule, creating an atmosphere where music lovers can properly appreciate what we do.
