The Darwin Conference Suite works beautifully for mid-sized gatherings, adapting from boardroom setups for 20 to theatre-style seating for 300. Between sessions, your guests can grab coffee at our on-campus cafés or enjoy full meal service from our catering team. We have our own theatre and cinema for evening entertainment, plus sports facilities if anyone wants to squeeze in a workout. With over 4,500 bedrooms across campus, including en-suite rooms that VisitEngland rates at 4 and 5 stars, everyone can stay right here without hunting for hotels in town. Our events team has helped organize research symposiums, corporate training weeks, wedding receptions, and outdoor festivals. The parkland setting means we can accommodate marquees for summer parties, while our indoor spaces keep things running smoothly year-round. Canterbury's train station sits just 20 minutes away, connecting directly to London. Since 2008, we've received the Group Travel Award for 'Best University Accommodation for Groups' every single year - something our housekeeping team takes particular pride in.
