The grand Victorian architecture of Wac Arts creates an immediate impression when you step into our Old Town Hall building on Haverstock Hill in Hampstead. We've been hosting everything from West End rehearsals to private celebrations here, and our Main Hall remains the heart of it all—200 guests can gather beneath the original period features while enjoying concert-quality acoustics from our professional sound system. Our sprung wooden floor in the Main Hall has seen countless dance performances and parties, while the built-in projector and theatre-style seating for 180 make corporate presentations and film screenings equally successful. Just down the corridor, our Small Hall offers something completely different—natural light floods through the high windows, creating a bright atmosphere perfect for smaller celebrations of up to 100 people. What makes us particularly popular for parties is the flexibility of our spaces. You might start with drinks in the Small Hall, then move everyone through to the Main Hall for dinner and dancing. Our purpose-built drama and dance studios (all with those essential sprung floors) often get transformed into breakout spaces or children's entertainment areas during larger events. The music rooms work brilliantly as quiet zones or preparation areas, and yes, we even have a recording studio that's been used for everything from birthday messages to corporate podcasts. We handle the event management side of things too, drawing on years of experience hosting West End productions like Matilda, Evita, and Shrek during their rehearsal periods. That same attention to detail goes into every party we host. The café provides catering options, and our team knows every corner of this building—from the best spots for photography to the ideal room combinations for your specific celebration.
