The rumble of trains overhead adds to the character as you step into our railway arch home at Whirled Cinema. We've transformed this Loughborough Junction space into something special - a 60-seat cinema that feels more like your friend's really cool living room than a traditional movie theater. Our exposed red-brick walls curve up into the original Victorian archway, creating this wonderfully cozy atmosphere that our regulars love. We've installed proper cinema equipment though - digital projection with 5.1 Surround Sound hitting our 4m x 2.25m screen perfectly. The sofas we've brought in make watching films here feel relaxed and comfortable, nothing like those rigid multiplex seats. For parties and private events, we offer something genuinely different. Birthday celebrations here have become legendary among our community - there's something about watching your favorite film with 59 of your closest friends while trains thunder overhead that creates an unforgettable night. We've hosted everything from film festivals to corporate screenings, and our bar keeps everyone happy with beers, wines, cocktails and snacks throughout. Our members get free entry to all our regular screenings of world and arthouse cinema, plus they can bring a guest along at no extra charge.
