The Basement Bar takes shape beneath the streets of the City, where we've carved out something properly special for private events. Those zigzag wooden floors you'll spot throughout Be At One Monument continue down here, paired with plush tufted booths in rich golds and greens that wrap around the space. We've built this room for proper parties. The bar runs along one side, fully stocked and ready for our bartenders to work their magic – they'll keep your guests happy with cocktails that go well beyond the standard G&T. The dance floor opens up in the centre, with DJ decks positioned perfectly and a sound system that'll do justice to whatever playlist or live DJ you bring in. With space for 170 standing guests, we've hosted everything from 30th birthdays that went on till 2am to product launches that had everyone talking. The warm lighting creates that perfect mood – bright enough to see your drinks, dim enough to hit the dance floor without feeling self-conscious. Air conditioning keeps things comfortable even when the party heats up, and we've got all the technical bits sorted too: WiFi that actually works, projector for presentations or party visuals, and a PA system for speeches or announcements. What works brilliantly here is the flexibility. Bring in your own caterers – we've seen everything from canapés to full buffets work perfectly. The separate entrance means your guests won't get mixed up with the upstairs crowd, and with our 2am licence (plus options for later with temporary notices), you've got proper time to celebrate. Monument, Bank and Cannon Street stations all within a quick walk means everyone can get here easily, then get home safely after.
