Entering the Barbican Theatre feels like stepping into a performance space where corporate events take on theatrical proportions. With 1,156 seats arranged across stalls, circle and gallery levels, we've created a venue that transforms conferences and product launches into something more memorable than your typical hotel ballroom. The auditorium wraps around the stage in traditional theatre style, ensuring no seat sits more than 20 metres from the action. This proximity matters when you're presenting to hundreds of delegates, as everyone feels connected to what's happening on stage. The warm earth tones of our seating complement the subtle ambient lighting, creating an atmosphere that's both professional and inviting. Our technical setup includes everything modern presentations demand: PA system, projection roll screen, and six cabled microphones ready for panel discussions or keynote speeches. Free Wi-Fi runs throughout the space, and air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable during full-day conferences. We've found the stalls level works particularly well for groups of 300 to 500, while opening up all three levels accommodates those larger corporate gatherings. Behind the scenes, dressing rooms provide speakers with private preparation space, and wheelchair accessibility ensures everyone can participate fully. Our in-house catering team, Searcys, creates menus ranging from working lunches to evening receptions, with British cuisine adapted for various dietary requirements including halal options. The alcohol licence until 23:00 means post-conference networking can continue into the evening. Getting here couldn't be simpler, with Barbican and Moorgate stations both within easy walking distance. The surrounding Brutalist architecture of the Barbican Centre provides a distinctive backdrop that sets your event apart from standard conference venues.
