Step inside The Garden Room and you'll understand why guests keep coming back to this first-floor retreat. We've created a pocket of calm here, where green wallpaper meets real plants and the city noise fades away, even though King's Cross and Euston stations are just a quick walk from our door on Chalton Street. Ten of you can gather comfortably around our Georgian-style tables, settling into the gingham bench seating that runs along the walls. We've strung bunting overhead and brought in fresh flowers, because who says a party room can't feel like a proper British garden party, whatever the weather outside? The natural light streaming through our windows catches the greenery just right, especially during those long summer evenings when birthday dinners seem to stretch on forever (in the best way). We know modern celebrations need modern kit, so we've tucked a projector, flatscreen TV and PA system discreetly into the space. Perfect when your hen party wants to share embarrassing photos, or when birthday surprises involve video messages from friends who couldn't make it. The air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable, whether you're hosting an intimate brunch or a lively baby shower. Our kitchen team downstairs sends up whatever your gathering needs, from sharing platters that get everyone talking to proper sit-down meals using the freshest British ingredients we can find. Small plates work brilliantly for standing drinks, while our larger dishes suit those celebratory dinners where everyone wants to linger over good food and better company. The Garden Room sits on our first floor alongside three other distinct spaces, each with its own character. But this one, with its summer garden feel and capacity for proper conversation, has become the spot where milestone birthdays, reunions and those "just because" gatherings seem to happen most naturally.
