The American walnut paneling catches everyone who walks into The Old Library. We've watched countless guests stop mid-conversation to take in the timber ceiling soaring above them, while afternoon sun streams through our arched stained-glass windows, painting the polished wooden floors in shifting colours. This room has hosted everything from raucous birthday parties to elegant wedding receptions, and we've learned exactly how to make each event work. The space comfortably holds 100 guests for drinks and mingling, or we can arrange tables for 60 if you're planning a sit-down dinner. Many clients love using the adjoining Assembly Room too, creating a natural flow between dining and dancing areas. We've kept the Victorian character intact while adding everything modern events need. Our PA system handles speeches and playlists equally well, the projectors work brilliantly for photo slideshows, and yes, the WiFi actually copes when all your guests are uploading photos simultaneously. The wooden floors have seen decades of dancing, and the acoustics in here are surprisingly good, whether you're bringing a string quartet or a DJ.
