About Oxford Town Hall
There's something quite special about hosting events in a building that's been at the heart of Oxford life since Victorian times. I've been coordinating events here at the Town Hall for years, and that sense of history never gets old. The main halls can handle pretty much anything – we've had 1,000-person conferences one week and intimate wedding receptions the next. The building itself does half the work for us. Those high ceilings and period features create an atmosphere you just can't replicate in a modern venue. But we've made sure the practicalities are thoroughly 21st century. Professional kitchens, proper disabled access throughout, WiFi that actually works with hundreds of devices connected. Our AV setup can handle everything from PowerPoint to full theatrical productions. We're licensed for civil ceremonies, which means we see a lot of happy couples. But we also get academic conferences, charity fundraisers, corporate away days – the variety keeps things interesting. Bring your own caterers if you like, or we can recommend some excellent local options. Our events team knows every inch of this building and can help you make the most of it. The location sells itself really – proper city centre, all the Oxford attractions on your doorstep, less than a kilometre from the station. No hunting for parking or getting lost in business parks.
