The Passmore Edwards Room sits on the first floor of our venue, and is accessed up a flight of stairs. We do not have a lift to this level, so all attendees must be comfortable using the stairs. This former Library Reading Room has kept its scholarly character, with double-aspect windows flooding the space with natural light and framing views of St Bride's Church just beyond. We've arranged the room to accommodate various meeting styles. For presentations, we can seat 35 in theatre style, while boardroom discussions work beautifully with 20 around the table. The U-shaped setup, also for 20, encourages collaborative workshops, and our cabaret arrangement fits 20 when you need small group discussions. High ceilings create an airy feel despite the intimate proportions, and the natural light changes throughout the day, casting different moods as your meeting progresses. We've installed modern essentials without disturbing the historical atmosphere - reliable Wi-Fi, HDTV, which can be hired for an additional charge, and climate control keeps everyone comfortable year-round. Getting here takes just moments from Blackfriars Station or City Thameslink. The surrounding Fleet Street area means plenty of options for lunch breaks or post-meeting drinks, and your attendees will find the location convenient from anywhere in London. The combination of historical surroundings and practical amenities makes this room particularly suited to board meetings, strategy sessions, training workshops, and presentations where you want participants to feel both inspired and focused.
