The Dowgate room works beautifully as a breakout space or standalone meeting room, positioned on the first floor as part of our larger Newgate suite. We've designed this space with flexibility at its core, incorporating moveable walls that serve double duty as whiteboards, letting your team sketch out ideas while reconfiguring the layout to match your agenda. Natural light pours through the large windows throughout the day, keeping energy levels high during those afternoon sessions. The neutral palette of whitewashed walls and professional carpeting means your branding takes centre stage, whether you're hosting a training workshop or client presentation. We regularly see groups start with a theatre-style presentation for 128, then split into smaller boardroom discussions using the divisible layout. Our technical setup covers all the essentials: reliable Wi-Fi throughout, built-in projector and flatscreen TV for presentations, plus a PA system with speakers that ensures everyone catches every word. The air conditioning keeps things comfortable even when discussions heat up. While we haven't installed dedicated video conferencing equipment, the room handles conference calls smoothly with the existing audio setup. The space adapts effortlessly between configurations. Theatre seating accommodates up to 128 delegates, perfect for keynote sessions or product demonstrations. For interactive workshops, the cabaret layout seats 70 comfortably with space for materials and laptops. More intimate board meetings work well with 55 in boardroom style, while classroom arrangements suit training sessions for 24 participants. Being part of our venue means you benefit from our central location with excellent transport connections, plus access to our in-house catering team who handle everything from working lunches to coffee breaks.
