About Builder's Arms
We've been pouring pints in this Georgian building since the 1800s, when builders working on the grand Kensington houses would drop by after a long day's work. Today at The Builder's Arms, you'll find our distinctive green exterior stands out on the street corner, while inside we've kept all the character that makes a proper British pub feel like home. Our ground floor wraps around the original wood panelling and that same fireplace that's been warming guests for over a century. During summer months, we open up the front patio terrace where you can settle in with a drink and watch Kensington life unfold. The kitchen team arrives early each morning to prepare everything fresh - from our sharing plates that get passed around big groups, to proper Sunday roasts, vegetarian options, and those pub classics everyone expects done right. For parties and private celebrations, we've converted the upstairs into The Builders Loft. The space holds 28 people comfortably for a sit-down meal or up to 45 guests for drinks and mingling. We've hosted everything from birthday dinners to engagement parties up there, with its own bar setup and the flexibility to arrange the room however works best for your event. Dogs are always welcome - we keep water bowls ready and our staff are happy to fuss over four-legged visitors. The mix of Kensington locals who've been coming for years and newcomers discovering us creates that authentic pub atmosphere where conversations flow as easily as the drinks.
