We hand you the keys to all 28 guest rooms, every reception space, and our 17 acres of riverside grounds, creating your personal country estate for the duration of your event. The main celebration unfolds in our Johnstone Suite, where up to 130 of your guests can dine beneath ornate chandeliers, or 150 can mingle during standing receptions. Natural light pours through tall windows overlooking the Derwent gardens, while our team arranges tables with fine china and fresh florals according to your vision. We dress chairs in crisp white covers with coloured sashes, though many couples choose their own styling to match their theme. Your party spills naturally between spaces throughout the day. Pre-dinner drinks might happen in the 2325 Lounge, ceremonies on our famous island pavilion reached by Victorian footbridge, and late-night celebrations back in the Johnstone Suite with our audiovisual setup handling everything from first dance playlists to video messages from abroad. Every bedroom becomes yours, from cosy doubles in the courtyard to the Honeymoon Suite with its four-poster bed. Your guests wake to Yorkshire countryside views and wander down for breakfast in the Derwent Restaurant, where our chefs prepare everything using local ingredients.
