About Hackness Grange Hotel
Picture yourself celebrating on your own private island at Hackness Grange Hotel, where our Victorian footbridge leads to an enchanting wedding pavilion surrounded by water. We've been hosting celebrations in this 19th-century Georgian manor since it became a hotel, and every couple who walks through our doors discovers something magical about the place. Our estate spans 17 acres along the River Derwent, right at the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The grounds include manicured lawns that roll down to the water's edge, ancient woodlands, and that famous lake with its island pavilion - genuinely one of the most photographed wedding spots in Yorkshire. We maintain 28 guest rooms split between the original manor house and our courtyard accommodation, each one decorated differently with views over either the gardens or surrounding countryside. For your celebration, we offer several spaces depending on your guest numbers. The Johnstone Suite works beautifully for formal dining up to 170 people, and we can accommodate over 200 for evening parties. Many couples choose exclusive use of the entire property, which means your guests have run of the place - from the Derwent Restaurant where our chefs prepare everything using Yorkshire ingredients, to the 2325 Lounge where the atmosphere's more relaxed. We assign each party a dedicated coordinator who handles everything from initial planning through to your last dance. The Grade II listing means we work within the character of the building - original features, period details, that sense of stepping back in time while still having every modern comfort you'd expect.
