Our Function Room combines the character of an 18th-century pub with everything you need for a proper party. Green painted walls frame the original fireplace, while dark wood floors carry the marks of countless celebrations before yours. Natural light pours through the large windows during daytime events, though the room takes on a different personality in the evening when the vintage-style lighting creates that perfect party atmosphere. We've arranged the space with classic wooden tables and chairs, plus some colourful upholstered seating that guests always gravitate towards. The room holds 60 people standing comfortably, so there's plenty of space for mingling, or we can set it up for 35 seated if you're planning a sit-down meal. Having our own private bar up here means your guests won't need to trek downstairs for drinks, and our bar staff know how to keep things flowing smoothly. The flatscreen TVs mounted around the room come in handy for all sorts of events. Birthday parties use them for photo slideshows, while sports fans appreciate being able to catch the match without leaving the party. Our PA system gets plenty of use too, whether that's for speeches, background music, or when groups bring their own DJ to really get things going. Being just minutes from both Aldgate and Tower Hill stations, your guests won't struggle to find us, even after a few drinks. The room's got its own private toilets, which always goes down well, and proper air conditioning keeps things comfortable when the dance floor gets busy. We can also open up access to our roof terrace if you want to give people somewhere to cool off between songs. Every party's different, but after nearly 300 years, we've got hosting celebrations down to a fine art.
