About Three Tuns Aldgate
Three Tuns Aldgate has been pouring pints since the 1700s, and we've learned a thing or two about hosting parties in that time. Our 18th-century building sits right in the thick of Aldgate, just minutes from both Aldgate and Tower Hill tube stations, making it easy for your guests to find us in London's historic City district. We've got three distinct spaces that work brilliantly for different types of celebrations. Downstairs, our main bar keeps the original pub atmosphere alive with exposed beams and well-worn floors. Head upstairs and you'll find our function room complete with its own private bar - it holds up to 60 people standing, so there's plenty of room for mingling. The real surprise comes when you discover our roof garden tucked away at the top. With space for 70 guests, it's particularly popular for summer parties and evening receptions where people can enjoy drinks under the London sky. Our bar stocks everything from traditional cask ales to craft beers, plus a solid wine list and spirits for cocktails. The kitchen serves British pub classics alongside pizzas with some genuinely interesting toppings - proper food that goes down well at parties. If your group includes sports fans, we've got HD screens showing Sky Sports and TNT Sports throughout the venue. We know the little things matter at parties, so we offer free Wi-Fi for those inevitable photo uploads, and yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome too. Our order-and-pay app means your guests can get drinks delivered to their table without fighting through crowds at the bar.
