The Spencer Suite sits at the heart of our celebrations here, where the old stone fireplace meets floor-to-ceiling windows that frame our gardens beautifully. We've hosted countless weddings in this room, and every couple seems to fall for that moment when afternoon light streams through, catching the crystal chandeliers just right. With space for 80 guests standing or 70 seated for your wedding breakfast, the suite adapts brilliantly to however you picture your day. The original fireplace anchors one end of the room, while French doors open directly onto the gardens at the other, creating this wonderful flow between inside and out. Perfect for when guests want to spill onto the lawn with their champagne or you're after those relaxed garden shots. The room comes with its own bar tucked into the corner, so your guests never have to wander far for a top-up. Private facilities are just off the main space, and we've installed proper air conditioning throughout (your summer guests will thank you). The PA system handles everything from your ceremony music to evening band without missing a beat. What works particularly well here is the flexibility. Morning ceremony with the chairs in neat rows facing the fireplace? Absolutely. Transform it for an afternoon reception with round tables dressed in white linen? We do it all the time. Evening party with the furniture cleared for dancing? The wooden floors are made for it. The garden access really sets this room apart from other Alton venues.
