Our timber-framed pavilion behind the National Theatre transforms throughout the year, and The Green Room sits at its heart. This space combines exposed wooden beams with stone pillars, while vertical herb gardens climb the walls and natural light pours through glass panels that slide open to connect with our wraparound beer garden. We designed The Green Room to flow naturally between indoor comfort and outdoor freedom. Those glass walls disappear completely in good weather, letting your party spread across heated terraces where blankets wait on cooler evenings. Inside, woven chairs circle modern tables beneath the timber framework, creating pockets for conversation whether you're hosting 90 seated guests or 100 standing for cocktails. Our pizza ovens fire up daily, sending wood-smoke aromas through the space while bartenders craft seasonal cocktails at the central bar. Corporate teams book us for relaxed lunches that stretch into evening drinks, birthday parties take over both pavilion and garden, and Saturday bottomless brunches get properly festive. The sustainable design by Benjamin Barfield Marks earned awards, but what matters more is how the space works: herb gardens providing fresh garnishes, heaters keeping December parties as comfortable as July ones, and that easy flow between bar, dining areas and outdoor seating. Just minutes from Waterloo Station on the South Bank, we're tucked away from the theatre crowds yet close enough to catch a show after your event. Full accessibility runs throughout, Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected, and our team handles everything from intimate gatherings to complete venue takeovers.
