Behind the National Theatre on London's South Bank, our timber-framed pavilion sits wrapped in a garden that transforms throughout the seasons. We're The Green Room, and our space brings together 300 of your guests across our indoor pavilion and wraparound beer garden - complete with heaters and cozy blankets when the weather turns. Our architect Benjamin Barfield Marks designed this place with sustainability at its core, creating what's become an award-winning venue that feels like a green pocket tucked away from the South Bank's busy streets. Just steps from Waterloo tube station, we've built something different here - a space where birthday parties spill out onto our heated terrace, where corporate teams gather around long tables laden with our handmade pizzas, and where cocktail receptions flow naturally between inside and out. We fire up our pizza ovens daily, turning out classics alongside seasonal specials. Our bar team crafts signature cocktails that change with what's fresh, and yes, we do proper fish and chips and our crispy chicken burger that regulars keep coming back for. Saturday bottomless brunches get lively (book early), Sunday roasts fill the space with familiar warmth, and our weekday happy hours from 4 to 8pm draw the after-work crowd. Our landscaped gardens work year-round - we've seen December birthday parties under our outdoor heaters feel just as comfortable as July celebrations. The pavilion's glass walls slide open when weather permits, creating one flowing space perfect for everything from 50-person gatherings to full venue takeovers. We handle casual team lunches, elegant evening receptions, relaxed birthday brunches, and pretty much any celebration you're planning in this cultural corner of London.
