About Ardgour House
The mahogany four-poster beds in our Georgian bedrooms are just the beginning of what makes Ardgour House special for celebrations. We've been welcoming groups here since converting this 1765 mansion into a party venue, and over the years we've hosted everything from milestone birthdays to family reunions in our West Highland home near Fort William. Our dining room comfortably seats all 22 guests around one grand table - perfect for those long Scottish evenings filled with toasts and laughter. After dinner, people naturally drift between spaces: some head to the drawing room where the open fire crackles away, others challenge each other to games on our full-sized billiard table in the snooker room. The kids usually discover the playroom pretty quickly, with its table tennis and toy collection keeping them busy while adults catch up. What really surprises our party groups is the 10-meter heated indoor pool. Nothing beats a morning swim looking out at the Highland scenery, or an evening dip after exploring the three acres of private grounds where deer often wander past. The eight-person sauna has become surprisingly popular for pre-party relaxation too. We're a self-catering property, which means you have complete run of the house and can organize celebrations exactly as you like. Many groups bring their own caterers for special occasions, while others enjoy cooking together in our fully equipped kitchen. For more formal events, we can accommodate wedding ceremonies and receptions for up to 60 guests, with both indoor and outdoor options depending on the Scottish weather. Getting here is straightforward - we're just across the Corran Ferry from Fort William, close enough for guests to explore the Highlands but far enough to feel like you've escaped to your own private estate.
