We're tucked away on 20 acres of private woodland and gardens in Dartmoor National Park, complete with our own lake where morning mist often drifts across the water. The beauty of choosing us for your celebration is that we hand you the keys to the entire property. Our manor house sleeps up to 75 guests across comfortable bedrooms, while Cork Tree Cottage adds space for another 11 people. This means your wedding party can wake up together, share breakfast in the dining room, and prepare for the day without rushing between hotels and venues. We operate as a DIY venue, which gives you complete control over your celebration. Pick your own caterers, bring your favorite drinks (we don't charge corkage), and transform our spaces however you envision. The dining room comfortably seats 80 for dinner, and our private bar becomes a natural gathering spot as the evening unfolds. For larger celebrations, our grounds welcome marquees with plenty of level lawn space available. Five different areas across the property hold ceremony licenses - from the formal drawing room with its period features to garden spots overlooking the Dartmoor hills. The wedding suite includes a spa tub where you can unwind after dancing, and we welcome well-behaved dogs because we understand they're family too. Beyond weddings, our secluded setting works brilliantly for multi-day family reunions where cousins can explore the woods, or corporate retreats where teams need space to think away from office distractions.
