Our Grade II listed property sits within 1,000 acres of Chatsworth Estate parkland in the Peak District, where sheep graze the surrounding fields and a gentle stream runs through the grounds. We've converted what was once a gamekeeper's cottage and the Duke of Devonshire agent's home into flexible celebration spaces. The summerhouse and gardens hold civil ceremony licenses, while our lawns accommodate tipis or marquees for up to 150 guests. Many couples appreciate having complete creative control—we provide the historic setting and grounds, you bring your vision to life. Your wedding party can stay on-site in our accommodation that sleeps up to 24 guests total. The cottages feature full kitchens and comfortable living spaces, while the shepherd huts offer a more intimate retreat with modern amenities. We give you exclusive use from Friday through Monday, so there's no rush to pack up after the reception. Our wedding coordinator helps navigate the planning process, from initial site visits through your celebration weekend. The 30-minute walk to Chatsworth House makes for excellent pre-wedding activities, and our parkland provides endless photography opportunities—from the historic stone buildings to wildflower meadows. The Peak District location means dramatic backdrops in every direction. After evening celebrations, guests often gather around the outdoor spaces, listening to the stream while sharing stories under the stars. We've hosted everything from small elopements in the summerhouse to large tented receptions across the lawns, each celebration shaped entirely by the couple's preferences.
