About Pylewell Park
The 17th-century house at Pylewell Park stands proudly above the Solent, where our guests often spot sailing boats drifting past during their celebrations. We've hosted everything from intimate gatherings in our drawing rooms to full-scale festivals across our 56 acres, and each event takes on its own character here in the New Forest. Our Pavilion has become the heart of most celebrations - those floor-to-ceiling windows frame the water and Isle of Wight perfectly, especially during sunset toasts. The built-in bar keeps drinks flowing while the dedicated dance floor handles everything from first dances to late-night revelry. We can seat 200 guests here comfortably, though many couples mix formal dining inside with drinks on the lawn overlooking our private beach. The house itself sleeps 26 across 13 bedrooms, each decorated differently - some with four-posters, others with sea views. There's also a self-contained penthouse apartment that works brilliantly for families who want their own space. We've seen wedding parties take over the whole house for long weekends, turning breakfasts into planning sessions and evenings into impromptu celebrations. Our sail structure on the lawn has hosted ceremonies for up to 150 guests - it catches the breeze beautifully and provides just enough shade on bright days. The parkland offers countless spots for drinks receptions, from the formal gardens near the house to wilder areas where we've set up festival stages and food trucks. We work with several caterers who know the property well. They've served everything from seven-course wedding breakfasts in the dining room to beach barbecues at sunset. Our events team helps coordinate these details, but we encourage hosts to bring their own ideas - we've seen some wonderfully creative uses of our spaces over the years.
