Sound & Colour Studio sits just off Wilmslow Road in South Manchester, where the thick walls and tucked-away location create the perfect quiet pocket for recording clean audio - something our podcast clients particularly appreciate. Step inside and you'll find our signature black studio flooring stretching across the space, meeting walls we've painted matte black to eliminate any unwanted reflections. We installed floor-to-ceiling blackout curtains that completely seal out external light, giving you total control over your lighting setup. The space works brilliantly for everything from moody product shots to talking-head videos, and we keep a selection of Colorama backgrounds rolled up in the corner - yes, including that green screen everyone asks about. Our Hollywood flats stack against the wall, ready to help you build custom sets or divide the space however you need. We've shot everything here from corporate headshots lined up against our white backdrop to full interview setups with multiple cameras. The filming radius gives you plenty of room to work with wide-angle lenses, and the ceiling height means you can position lights exactly where you want them. Beyond the technical stuff, we keep the coffee machine running all day with proper freshly ground beans - none of that instant nonsense. There's always a selection of snacks and cold drinks in our kitchen area. Parking couldn't be easier with four free spaces right outside the door, and the building access means you can wheel equipment straight in without any awkward stairs or lifts. We open Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm, though weekend shoots can be arranged. Whether you need just the space (dry hire) or want us to provide full production kit and crew, we'll work out what suits your project best.
