About The Old Lodge
Four hundred years of celebrations have taken place within these Tudor walls at The Old Lodge in Malton, North Yorkshire. Our Grade II listed mansion, built in 1604, sits within over 3 acres of manicured gardens that create the perfect setting for your wedding day. We can host up to 70 guests in our Main Dining Room, where locally sourced ingredients become the foundation of imaginative dishes crafted by our kitchen team. Daily specials reflect what's fresh and seasonal. After dinner, guests often gather in our wood-paneled bar where the original fireplace creates a warm glow. We pour hand-pulled beers alongside our carefully chosen wines and spirits collection. For smaller wedding parties, our Ceremonies Hall offers something truly special. With its large feature fireplace and minstrels' gallery overhead, this intimate space seats 14 guests and brings everyone together in historic surroundings. When it comes to accommodation, we have 21 en-suite rooms throughout the main house, each one individually designed. Many feature four-poster beds that add to the Tudor character. We've also renovated a nearby public house to provide 8 additional rooms for wedding guests who want to stay close by. Our team understands that wedding planning involves countless details. We work closely with each couple to coordinate everything from ceremony arrangements to reception dining. The combination of our historic building, established gardens, and experienced staff means we can accommodate various wedding styles, whether you envision an intimate gathering or a larger celebration. Corporate events and private celebrations also find a home here at The Old Lodge, where the same attention to detail applies to every occasion we host.
