Step through the ancient archway and discover The Master's Court, where 700 years of history create the perfect backdrop for your celebration. This remarkable outdoor courtyard, once the grand entrance to our Tudor mansion, now serves as one of central London's most atmospheric party spaces, welcoming up to 200 guests for standing receptions. The courtyard centres around a pristine lawn with its classic Victorian lamppost, while the traditional stone-flagged pathway that encircles it provides natural flow for mingling guests. What really sets the scene are the magnificent stained-glass windows of our Great Hall that overlook the space, each one telling its own story from centuries past. Look closely and you'll spot the gold-crested emblem of Charles I above the doorway, alongside our famous Sutton sundial that's been marking time here since Tudor days. We love how the space transforms as evening approaches. The gentle glow from the stained-glass windows combines with carefully placed lighting to create an almost magical atmosphere that our party hosts particularly appreciate. The courtyard's high walls provide excellent acoustics while keeping your celebration private from the bustling city beyond. You're free to bring in your preferred caterers and we operate a BYO alcohol policy, giving you complete control over your menu and bar. Whether you envision cocktails on the lawn, a barbecue along the pathways, or elegant canapés circulating among your guests, our team will help you make it work. The space is fully accessible with level access throughout, and we're just a short walk from both Barbican and Farringdon stations.
