The Garden at Why Not Nightclub Three flights down from George Street's bustle, our outdoor courtyard proves that Edinburgh's weather won't stop a good party. The Garden has become the city's most unexpected late-night haven, where historic stone walls frame a space that feels worlds away from the typical nightclub experience. We've watched countless nights unfold here, from summer evenings when guests dance barefoot on the paving stones to winter gatherings huddled under our giant umbrellas, warming up with shisha and hot cocktails. The versatility of the space constantly surprises us, comfortably hosting 200 guests for standing receptions or creating intimate seated arrangements for 100. Our dedicated outdoor cocktail bar means drinks flow as freely outside as they do on our main dance floor. We've positioned sleek tables and plush seating throughout the courtyard, creating natural gathering spots where conversations spark between strangers. When darkness falls, our LED lighting system bathes the stone walls in shifting colours, transforming the medieval architecture into something decidedly modern. The greenery we've cultivated softens the urban edges, with potted plants and climbing vines bringing life to every corner. During summer months, the garden becomes our most requested space, but even in December, you'll find hardy souls making the most of this rare city-centre outdoor venue. The covered areas and heating ensure year-round comfort, whether you're celebrating a birthday, hosting a corporate drinks reception, or simply seeking fresh air between dances. Being Edinburgh's only late-night garden venue brings responsibility, we've designed every element to maximise both atmosphere and practicality. From the weatherproof furniture to the strategic placement of shelter, everything serves the simple goal of keeping the party going, whatever the Scottish skies decide to throw at us.
