Raw brick walls climb two floors at The Old Market Assembly, where our Whole Building takeover gives you complete run of the place for your celebration. From the ground floor bar through to the mezzanine balcony and up to our sun-soaked roof terrace, you'll have every corner to call your own for the night. The main floor opens up around our central bar, where our team serves craft beers and cocktails beneath strings of Edison bulbs. Your guests can spread across the ground level or head upstairs to the mezzanine, where wrought-iron railings frame views down to the party below. We've kept the original architectural details – ornate cornices and those towering windows that flood the space with light during afternoon events. Our stage anchors one end of the room, complete with professional sound system and lighting rig. Bands sound brilliant here, DJs love the acoustics, and we've hosted everything from wedding bands to corporate presentations. The flexible layout means we can arrange seating for 150 at round tables for dinner, create theatre-style rows for 100, or clear the floor completely for 300 dancing guests. When Bristol weather cooperates, the roof terrace becomes an extra dimension to your party. Picture your guests with drinks in hand, looking out across the city rooftops as the sun sets. The terrace connects seamlessly to the indoor spaces, so people naturally flow between areas throughout the evening. We handle catering in-house, from passed canapés to three-course seated dinners. Our kitchen works with local suppliers, and the bar team can create signature cocktails for your event. The whole building comes with our events team who manage logistics, technical requirements, and coordination on the day. West Street location means easy access via public transport, with parking nearby for those driving.
