The Nicholson Suite transforms from our original Victorian hotel barn into something quite special for parties and celebrations. Walking into this converted barn space, you'll notice how the glass-roofed atrium changes everything - sunlight streams through during afternoon celebrations, while evening parties take on a different character entirely as guests can glimpse the stars above through the transparent ceiling. We've kept the original wooden beams exposed across the vaulted ceiling, and our chandeliers cast a warm glow across the space when daylight fades. The suite comfortably holds 120 guests for seated celebrations or up to 160 for standing receptions, with round tables that we dress with proper china and glassware. Our Chiavari chairs come with sashes that match your chosen colour scheme, and we always include fresh floral arrangements to complement your party theme. Your guests use their own private entrance, completely separate from the main hotel, which means your celebration feels entirely yours. The bespoke bar stays open throughout your event, stocked with local Hampshire ales alongside spirits and wines. When the weather cooperates, guests naturally spill out into our landscaped gardens for drinks, with the South Downs hills creating that perfect photo backdrop. Our events team handles the details - from party menus crafted by our kitchen team to specific layout configurations for your celebration. The space works beautifully for milestone birthdays, anniversary parties, and wedding receptions. With 37 hotel bedrooms available, your guests can book rooms and enjoy a proper Hypnos bed after celebrating late into the evening. Free parking means nobody worries about taxis, and our location near Gosport Road keeps us accessible while maintaining that countryside tranquility.
