Our countryside hotel sits right in the heart of the South Downs National Park, where Hampshire's rolling hills create the perfect backdrop for your celebration. We're about 6 miles from both Alton and Petersfield, making us easy to find yet wonderfully peaceful once you arrive. The Nicholson Suite is where most of our parties happen - it's a converted barn with a stunning glass-roofed atrium that floods the space with natural light during daytime events and creates a magical atmosphere under the stars at night. With its own private entrance and bespoke bar, the suite holds up to 120 guests comfortably. We've hosted everything from milestone birthdays to anniversary celebrations here, and the separate access means your party feels completely private from the rest of the hotel. Our 37 bedrooms mean your guests can stay overnight after celebrating - each room has a luxury Hypnos bed (trust us, they're incredibly comfortable), flat-screen TV, and a modern en-suite bathroom with a proper power shower. The landscaped gardens provide lovely spots for drinks receptions when the weather's nice, and there's plenty of free parking for everyone. Food-wise, our kitchen team serves up classic British dishes in the main restaurant, and we can arrange special party menus to suit your event. The bar stocks a good selection of local ales alongside the usual favorites. If you're planning a wedding celebration, we have a dedicated bridal suite available too. Being surrounded by the South Downs means your photos will have those beautiful rolling hills as a backdrop, and the mix of indoor and outdoor spaces gives you flexibility whatever the weather. Our events team will work with you to plan everything just as you want it.
