The Elizabethan is a proper Mississippi paddle steamer, complete with working wheel boxes and wooden decks that creak just enough to remind you you're on water. We've watched countless wedding parties gasp when they first see her 1890s-inspired design, though she's actually fitted with everything modern events need, from nine flat-screen TVs tucked discretely around the saloon to WiFi that actually works while cruising past Westminster. The upper deck transforms depending on what you need. With the retractable roof open, we've seen 200 guests dancing as Tower Bridge lights up behind them. Pull the roof closed in December, and that same space becomes cozy enough for corporate presentations or intimate wedding ceremonies. The wooden paneling below deck catches the Thames light through those enormous windows we added during our half-million pound refit, keeping the original steamer aesthetic while ensuring everyone gets river views whether they're seated at round tables for 140 or standing with champagne during receptions. FoodbyDish handle our catering from the galley kitchen, and they know their business. We've served everything from breakfast meetings watching the sunrise over Canary Wharf to midnight buffets as the city sparkles past. The lower saloon works equally well set theatre-style for product launches or configured cabaret-style for birthday parties where guests want to chat between courses. Air conditioning keeps July wedding receptions comfortable, while the heating system means December parties stay warm even when guests pop up top for photos with Big Ben. The PA system carries speeches clearly whether you're presenting quarterly figures or making a best man's toast. Every event floats past the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, and Shakespeare's Globe, turning a standard party into something people actually remember.
