The Reception Room greets you on the first floor, where French furniture sits beneath Regency mirrors that have reflected three centuries of London gatherings. Queen Juliana of the Netherlands watches over the space from her portrait, a commanding presence that guests often pause to admire between conversations. We've hosted countless drinks receptions here, with up to 150 guests moving easily between the antique pieces while natural light pours through the windows. The room has a particular magic during evening events, when the mirrors multiply the warm lighting and create an intimate atmosphere despite the generous proportions. Corporate clients use this space for networking events and product launches, while private celebrations often begin here before moving through to our larger halls. Our in-house catering team knows exactly how to work this room, circulating canapés around the furniture groupings while bartenders set up near the entrance for smooth service flow. The acoustics allow conversation to flow naturally, whether you're hosting a champagne reception or afternoon refreshments.
