The graffiti-covered tunnels of Leake Street lead you into The Food One, where exposed Victorian brick meets the creative energy of London's underground scene. We've transformed this dual-level space within The Vaults into something special, a place where the raw character of these railway arches becomes the backdrop for unforgettable celebrations. Our curved brick ceilings create an intimate atmosphere that changes as you move through the space. Fairy lights twist overhead, their warm glow bouncing off the textured walls while the distant rumble of trains adds to the authentic underground feel. The room opens up to accommodate 120 guests for seated dining, though we often see hosts use the flexibility to create different zones, perhaps keeping one level for dining while the other becomes a dance floor as the evening progresses. The professional kitchen we've installed means proper food service is sorted, whether you're bringing in street food vendors for a casual birthday party or planning a formal banquet with your chosen caterers. Those long communal tables work brilliantly for getting people talking, though we can configure the space differently depending on your vision. The industrial bones of the space mean lighting and decorations really pop against the brick, and we've seen everything from neon installations to botanical gardens created in here. Being part of The Vaults' network of spaces gives you options too. The Food One connects naturally to our other areas, so guests can explore different atmospheres throughout your event. The graffiti tunnel entrance sets the tone immediately, while our location right beneath Waterloo Station means everyone finds us easily despite the underground setting. The combination of professional facilities and raw industrial character makes this space work for almost anything. Corporate launches, milestone birthdays, themed parties, pop-up dining experiences, we've hosted them all, each one using the arches differently.
