The grand fireplace crackles softly as your guests gather beneath original Victorian chandeliers in the Glamis Lounge, where carved wood paneling tells stories of the Earl of Strathmore's former residence. We've watched countless celebrations unfold in this intimate space, from milestone birthday parties to engagement drinks, each event enhanced by the warm amber light reflecting off our ornate cornices and tufted leather sofas. With room for 30 guests standing or 24 seated around our polished tables, the lounge strikes that perfect balance between spacious and intimate. Our well-stocked bar, framed by rich mahogany and flanked by period portraits, becomes a natural gathering point as your bartender crafts cocktails or pours from our wine selection. The high-backed chairs and plush sofas invite longer conversations, while the bay windows, dressed in heavy brocade curtains, frame views of tree-lined South Kensington streets. We've hosted everything from cocktail receptions to traditional afternoon tea parties here, with guests often commenting on how the space feels more like a private club than a hotel lounge. The combination of period features and practical amenities, including our midnight licence, gives you flexibility in planning your event.
