Walk through the King and Queen Vaults and you'll understand why we named them after royalty. These two interconnected spaces beneath The Brewery reveal themselves through dramatic vaulted ceilings where original copper pipes run alongside exposed ductwork, each curve and line telling stories of our brewing past. The Smeaton Vaults span 243 square metres of atmospheric event space. We've installed AMBX intelligent LED lighting throughout both vaults, which means your party can shift from warm amber during cocktails to electric blue when the dancing starts. The original iron walkway still crosses overhead, a genuine piece of brewing equipment that now serves as an industrial chandelier of sorts. Our built-in DB audio PA system fills every corner without echo, despite the curved ceilings. The large projection area works brilliantly for everything from wedding photo montages to corporate presentations. We keep the air conditioning running year-round, essential when 120 guests pack the dance floor for a reception or 110 sit down for a banquet dinner. Getting equipment in couldn't be easier with our direct loading bay access. DJ decks, photo booths, elaborate floral installations, we've seen it all come through those doors. The cargo lift handles everything from catering equipment to band gear without anyone breaking a sweat. You'll find us on Chiswell Street, with Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Barbican stations all within a short walk. Our events team knows exactly how to configure the space, whether you're planning standing drinks for 100 or theatre-style seating for 112. We handle civil ceremonies too, with couples exchanging vows beneath those remarkable vaulted ceilings before their guests raise glasses in the same space. The combination of historical architecture and modern technology creates something genuinely special for parties and celebrations. Every event feels both intimate and grand in these vaults.
