Our glass-walled Escher Room sits on the top floor of this historic Smithfield building, where startup teams have been solving problems since we opened in 2010. Eight people fit comfortably around the white rectangular table, and through the glass partition you can feel the energy of the wider workspace while maintaining complete privacy for your discussions. The room comes equipped with everything productive meetings need: a wall-mounted flat-screen for presentations, whiteboard and flipcharts for mapping out ideas, and reliable Wi-Fi that handles video calls without dropping. The black leather chairs keep everyone comfortable during longer sessions, and the bright overhead lighting means you can read notes and see expressions clearly, even during those late afternoon strategy meetings. We've noticed teams use this space differently throughout the day. Morning sessions often involve product roadmaps spread across the table, afternoon client presentations making full use of the screen, and evening brainstorming with the whiteboard covered in diagrams. The glass walls let natural light filter through from the main workspace, creating an atmosphere that feels connected yet focused. Between sessions, your team can grab coffee from either of our two kitchens (we keep it brewing all day) and chat with other startups in the communal areas.
