Winter mornings bring something special to our Salisbury Room when we strike a match and bring the original Victorian fireplace to life. The warmth spreads through the wood-paneled walls while your team settles around the oval table, ready for the day's discussions. This is how meetings have happened here for over a century, though today's conversations might involve video calls rather than printing presses. The stained glass windows catch the morning sun differently each season, throwing amber and ruby patterns across the polished wooden floors. We've kept the original panels from 1891, knowing they create an atmosphere no modern meeting room can replicate. Up to 25 colleagues can gather theatre-style when you need everyone facing forward, or we arrange 18 seats around our boardroom table when discussion flows better in a circle. Our projector sits ready for your presentations, connected to Wi-Fi that reaches every corner despite these thick Victorian walls. The chandeliers overhead provide gentle lighting, though most groups prefer the natural daylight streaming through those tall windows. When concentration starts to flag, we often suggest opening the adjoining Caxton Room for coffee breaks or breakout sessions, giving your team space to move and refresh. City Thameslink station sits just two minutes away on foot, making arrival straightforward for colleagues coming from across London. Blackfriars isn't much further if that suits your journey better. The legal chambers and media offices surrounding us mean good lunch spots and coffee shops fill every corner, useful when you need to continue conversations after your booking ends. Air conditioning keeps summer meetings comfortable, while that fireplace transforms winter gatherings into something rather special.
