The grand Victorian fireplace in our Salisbury Room still works perfectly after 130 years, and we light it for winter meetings to create that warm, focused atmosphere our clients love. Here at St Bride Foundation, we've been part of Fleet Street's story since 1891, when this building served the printing presses and publishers who made this area famous. Today, our Grade II listed spaces host everything from board meetings to wedding receptions, each room carrying its own piece of history. Our Salisbury Room welcomes up to 45 guests into an intimate wood-paneled space, where original stained glass windows cast colored light across the polished tables. For larger gatherings, we open up Bridewell Hall, which fits 150 people comfortably. The high ceilings and natural daylight streaming through tall windows make it particularly popular for daytime conferences and evening receptions. Perhaps our most unusual space is the Bridewell Theatre - yes, it really was a Victorian swimming pool. We've transformed it into a performance venue that still has those distinctive architectural curves from its aquatic past. Corporate presentations take on a theatrical quality here, and actual theatre productions find the acoustics surprisingly good. We handle catering in-house, working with you to create menus that suit your event style and dietary requirements. Our AV equipment covers everything from simple projection needs to full conference setups, and the Wi-Fi reaches every corner of the building. Step-free access means everyone can move easily between our spaces. Being just two minutes' walk from City Thameslink station helps - your guests can reach us from anywhere in London without fuss. The Thames is practically on our doorstep, and we're surrounded by the legal chambers and media offices that give this area its professional energy.
