The Cloister Garth Marquee opens directly onto our cathedral gardens, where medieval stone meets contemporary comfort in a space that transforms throughout the day. We've watched morning light filter through the white draped ceiling during early conferences, and seen the same space come alive with conversation as afternoon sessions spill naturally into the garden. Our marquee accommodates up to 600 guests in reception style, making it one of Hampshire's largest meeting spaces. The structure itself tells a story of thoughtful design, with chandeliers suspended from the flowing white canopy above, while underfoot, deep blue carpeting provides both acoustic comfort and visual warmth. Round tables dressed with classic wooden chairs and soft pink cushions create natural conversation clusters, though we regularly reconfigure the layout to suit everything from trade exhibitions to gala dinners. What strikes most visitors first is how the space breathes. The marquee sides open completely to our walled garden, creating that rare combination of shelter and openness that works equally well for summer conferences or autumn gatherings.
