First floor up from street level, The Hall welcomes you with daylight streaming through tall windows that line the walls. We've kept the original wooden flooring here, which adds warmth underfoot and gives the 74-square-metre space a grounded feel that works equally well for corporate presentations and community workshops. Our most flexible room, The Hall adapts to whatever configuration works best for your meeting. We regularly arrange it theatre-style for up to 80 delegates, though many groups prefer the collaborative feel of cabaret layout for 40, or classroom rows when note-taking matters. The fixed presentation screen pairs with AV equipment we keep ready to use, while blackout blinds let you control the lighting when showing detailed slides. Groups often comment on how the high ceilings create an open atmosphere that helps longer sessions feel less confined. We've furnished the space with comfortable blue chairs and practical tables that move easily when you need to reconfigure between sessions. The upright piano in the corner gets regular use during musical rehearsals, though we're happy to cover it when not needed. Located on the first floor, The Hall connects easily to our other meeting spaces when you need breakout rooms or quiet areas for smaller discussions. Our lift serves all floors, and we've ensured full accessibility throughout. The room's position in Edinburgh's Old Town means your participants can step out into centuries of history during lunch breaks, with cafes and cultural sites just minutes away. We provide Fairtrade tea and fresh filter coffee as standard, with buffet lunches available when you need to keep everyone energised without leaving the building. Free Wi-Fi covers the entire space, and our induction loop system ensures everyone can participate fully in presentations and discussions.
