Our glass cupola dome catches the morning light beautifully, flooding the former banking hall with natural illumination that transforms throughout the day. We've been serving guests at 1 Lombard Street since 1998, and the Grade II-listed architecture still takes our breath away – especially when we see first-time visitors pause to admire the soaring ceilings and circular bar that anchors the space. The Brasserie transforms effortlessly from intimate dinner parties to grand celebrations. We can seat 200 of your guests comfortably beneath the historic dome, or create a flowing cocktail reception for up to 400. The acoustics in the banking hall create a wonderful buzz during parties without overwhelming conversation. For smaller gatherings, our 1776 Private Dining Room wraps groups of 20 to 90 in warm wood paneling, while the Lombard Club Dining Room provides an even more intimate setting. Mark Hix MBE and Executive Chef Robin Freeman have crafted menus that showcase British ingredients with a modern European influence. We source locally whenever possible – the Saturday brunch features eggs from Kent farms, and our Sunday roasts use meat from trusted British suppliers. Our kitchen operates seven days a week, preparing everything from power breakfasts to celebration dinners. Our Events team has coordinated everything from product launches to wedding receptions in these spaces. We've installed contemporary AV systems that blend discreetly with the period features, and our Wi-Fi handles video conferences as easily as social media posts from your party. Being right next to Bank Underground Station means your guests can arrive from anywhere in London within minutes. The banking hall's history adds something special to celebrations – where Victorian clerks once tallied ledgers, we now pop champagne corks and serve canapés.
