Beer pong tables sit ready alongside our pool table, while that massive 20-foot mural of flying pears catches everyone's eye as they walk past our Selly Oak pub. We've just finished transforming The Bristol Pear with an extended bar area where our bartenders craft cocktails throughout the day, plus a brand new bottomless brunch section that's become incredibly popular with weekend crowds. Our function room, The Avenue, works brilliantly for private parties - we've hosted everything from 18th birthdays to informal business gatherings here. The space gets plenty of natural light during daytime events and transforms into an intimate party venue come evening. We can arrange the room to suit your group size, whether that's 20 people for drinks and nibbles or a larger celebration taking over the whole area. The kitchen serves up everything from hearty breakfasts to loaded burgers, and we pour a solid selection of craft beers, world lagers and ciders behind the bar. Sports fans love our HD screens showing Sky Sports and TNT Sports - the atmosphere during match days is electric. We also host live music nights, comedy shows and even spoken word performances in our function space when it's not booked for private events. Families often pop in during the day (kids are welcome until 7pm), settling into our beer garden when the weather's nice. We're fully wheelchair accessible throughout, and there's free Wi-Fi if anyone needs to quickly check emails between rounds. Just a short walk from Selly Oak station, we're easy to find and even easier to make yourself at home in.
