Musicians have been making noise at Premises Studios on Hackney Road for over 35 years, and we've built something special here at 205-209. Our eight rehearsal rooms buzz with bands from morning till night, each one properly soundproofed so you can crank it up without bothering the neighbors. We've got everything from cozy spaces for acoustic sets to rooms big enough for full bands with all their gear. Our recording studio runs entirely on solar power - Studio A catches enough rays on our roof to power full recording sessions year-round. Beyond the rehearsal and recording spaces, we rent out 15 studios to artists and producers who've made this their creative home. The tour shop downstairs stocks strings, sticks, leads, and pretty much anything else you might break or forget during a session. What really brings people together here is our café. The kitchen team serves up proper Turkish food alongside the usual coffee and sandwiches - Observer Food Monthly even called us one of the "50 Coolest Places To Eat in The World," which still makes us smile. Between sessions, you'll find musicians grabbing mezze plates and comparing notes on last night's gigs. We host everything from band rehearsals and album recordings to music workshops and education courses. The equipment storage means touring bands can stash their gear between shows, and our team knows the drill whether you're a teenager forming your first band or a touring act preparing for festival season. After three decades on Hackney Road, we've pretty much seen it all and we're still here because musicians keep coming back.
