The glass walls of our seven-sided theatre module catch the morning light streaming through the Great Hall's Victorian windows—a sight that never fails to stop first-time visitors in their tracks. Here at the Royal Exchange Theatre in St Ann's Square, we've created something truly distinctive: a suspended theatrical space where architecture becomes part of the performance. Our main theatre sits like a modern spacecraft within the Grade II listed building, with its circular stage creating an intimate connection between presenters and audience. Every one of our 600 seats is positioned within nine meters of the stage, making it perfect for conferences where engagement matters. We've hosted everything from corporate seminars to wedding ceremonies in this space, and the acoustics never fail to impress—whether it's a CEO's keynote or wedding vows being exchanged. Beyond the main theatre, we offer several adaptable spaces. The Front Room works beautifully for morning meetings or cocktail receptions, while our Exchange Suite handles breakout sessions or intimate gatherings. The Studio Theatre provides another option for presentations or performances. Our technical team manages all the sound, lighting, and stage requirements, so you can focus on your content rather than cables and switches. The Rivals Bar & Café handles our catering, from working lunches to celebration dinners. Our Head Chef regularly creates custom menus for special occasions—we've served everything from traditional afternoon teas to contemporary tasting menus. Our Events & Hospitality team coordinates every detail, from initial planning through to the final guest departure. The building's location in Manchester's historic center means excellent transport links and nearby hotels for out-of-town delegates.
