Walking into St Anne's Limehouse feels like stepping into three centuries of London history. We're housed in Nicholas Hawksmoor's Grade I listed masterpiece, just a short walk from Limehouse station in East London's Tower Hamlets. Our church has been hosting celebrations since 1730, and today we open our doors for everything from intimate gatherings to grand wedding receptions. The main Nave is where most of our larger celebrations happen - we can seat 450 guests here, or accommodate up to 600 standing for cocktail-style events. The soaring architecture creates incredible acoustics, which is why we host regular concerts and even film screenings alongside wedding ceremonies. Our projection screen and sound system are already set up, so whether you're sharing wedding videos or hosting a movie night, the technical side is sorted. Downstairs in the Crypt, we've created a more intimate space that works brilliantly for smaller parties. With its own fully fitted kitchen and room for 50 guests, it's become popular for birthday celebrations, engagement parties, and pre-wedding gatherings. The stone walls give it real character - nothing quite like partying in a historic crypt. Our private churchyard is another favorite spot, especially for summer events. It's completely gated, giving you privacy for outdoor drinks receptions or those golden-hour photos. We can accommodate up to 16 cars in our parking area, which is rare for this part of London. We're currently fundraising to install a lift for step-free access - it's important to us that everyone can enjoy this space. For now, we work closely with each party organizer to ensure we can accommodate all your guests' needs.
