We've been welcoming guests to this Grade II-listed building since McMullen's Brewery took over in 2019, and we never tire of watching people's faces when they first see our soaring ceilings and original Victorian chandeliers. Our main hall can accommodate up to 300 guests for standing receptions, though the space feels just as impressive with smaller groups thanks to the architectural details that catch your eye at every turn - from the intricate plasterwork to the rich wood paneling that once witnessed financial transactions for the Bank of England between 1888 and 1975. For more intimate gatherings, we offer the Billiard Room, which seats 32 comfortably or holds 50 for drinks receptions, and our cozy Parlour Room for groups of up to 16. What really sets us apart for party hire is the vintage Routemaster bus parked in our rear courtyard. We've seen it used as everything from a cocktail bar to a photo booth backdrop, and it never fails to delight guests. Our kitchen serves up proper British pub food - think handcrafted pies and hearty classics - while our bar pours ales brewed at McMullen's Hertfordshire brewery alongside a full selection of spirits and wines.
